Los Angeles, Alta California - March 5, 2008 - (ACN) The nations of Ecuador, Venezuela, Chile, Argentina, Paraguay, Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, Uruguay, Mexico, Cuba, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Guatemala have issued strong condemnations against the USA and its "puppet regime" in Colombia for Saturday's military violation of the sovereignty of Ecuador.

On Saturday, USA supplied armed forces of Colombia invaded Ecuador to attack a Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (FARC) encampment killing at least 20 guerrillas that included the number two leader of the FARC, Comandante Raul Reyes. The air strike also injured a Mexican female guerilla, 24 year old Lucia Andrea Morett Álvarez. Morett Álvarez is among 8 students from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM) fighting for the FARC. Approximately 30% of FARC guerilla fighters are females.

Colombia's invasion of Ecuador has resulted in a major crisis that is threatening a major war in the region. President Rafael Correa of Ecuador immediately mobilized its armed forces along its border with Colombia and closed Ecuador's embassy in Bogota. President Correa also expelled the Colombian ambassador from its territory.

Hugo Chavez, President of Venezuela, mobilized 10 tank battalions along its border with Colombia. President Chavez also ordered his air force to be under full alert. Chavez recently purchased sophisticated MIG fighter planes, helicopters and guided missiles from the former Soviet Union. President Chavez also booted the Colombian ambassador from Caracas.

Cuban leader Fidel Castro Ruz did not mince his words in placing the blame for the serious and dangerous situation. He placed the entire blame on the USA for the present crisis in the Andean region.

Approximately 30% of FARC guerillas are females.
Colombian President Alvaro Uribe, who directed the military strike in Ecuador, is universally considered of being a lackey of USA President George Bush. His entire presidency is considered to be a mere "puppet regime" under orders from Washington. Journalist Cesar Levano of Peru wrote in his daily column in La Primera newspaper that the attack "was a desperate gesture by Washington and its puppet, fascist Alvaro Uribe."

President Alvaro Uribe is a principal facilitator for the exportation of tons of cocaine and heroin to the USA every month. President Uribe was educated at Harvard and Oxford and his father Alberto Uribe was a notorious drug trafficker until he was executed by the FARC in 1983. President Alvaro Uribe grew up with the children of drug lord Fabio Ochoa, three of who became leading players in Pablo Escobar’s Medellín cocaine cartel.

The attack on the FARC in Ecuador by Uribe is seen by many Latin Americans as a maneuver by President Bush against the peace process in Colombia. The Bush Administration has great interest in maintaining the "status quo" in Colombia and Andean region because of the vast narco-profits being made by certain elements in the USA. The military attack ordered by Washington in Ecuador will be counter productive for USA interests however. It has united Latin America like never before and advanced the Bolivarian Revolution significantly. It provides an opportunity for Hugo Chavez to take a great stride forward in implementing Simon Bolivar's vision of liberating all of Latin America from foreign influences.
