"Fallujah : America's Guernica" Commentaries by the Readership of La Voz de Aztlan
The article by Hector Carreon titled, 'Fallujah: America's Guernica' was right on the mark. Atrocity, genocide, mass murder, and political deceit is the hallmark of Bush's insanity on Iraq and the world. It is to America's shame. Mr. Carreon has captured the outrage that should shake the American people to their very core. We cannot as a people, allow the Bush perspective to influence world events. The entire Bush administration must be impeached, removed from office, and then sent to the Hague to face the International Criminal Court. Justice requires nothing less. Please thank Mr. Carreon for his insight and courage.

Gentlemen:
I read your story of Guernica, but the city was destroyed by pseudo German volunteers of the infamous KONDOR LEGION, actually it was Adolf Hitler's LUFTWAFFE (Air Force). It was as you must know painted by that famous Spanish revolutionary Pablo Picasso. But there a lot more wars to be fought against neo-American Imperialism in the future. Fallujah, Iraq was just the beginning, and Tehran, Iran will be the next on their list. They got away with killing close to three million Vietnamese men, women and children with the defoliant "Agent Orange" and Incendiary Bombs, plus gas. So there is a very hard fight ahead of us.

THREE CHEERS FOR THE PEOPLE OF FALLUJAH WHO ARE DEFENDING THEIR CITY, HOMES, AND FAMILIES.
The people of Fallujah are not terrorists. They're defending their city from a foreign occupier. They did not ask to be invaded, they did not choose to enlist in the armed forces, they have been humiliated and mistreated at gunpoint by the coalition forces. They're doing exactly what I would do if my home town was taken over by foreign troops. How many Iraqis suffered torture, rape, and imprisonment at Abu Ghraib? They know who their oppressor is.
The world can see who is justly defending their hometown, their country. Good luck to the resistence and the Iraqi peoples quest for self-determination.

MIDDLEEAST.ORG - MER - Washington - 30 November: Pablo Picasso's haunting painting, 'Guernica', has immortalized that Spanish city whose brutal destruction was a precursor to all the horrendous death and suffering of World War II, now a finally fading generation ago. It was on Thanksgiving Day that we published detailed foreign reports about what has been done this month by what many in the world now consider to be the imperial crusading forces of the United States and Great Britain, 'on our watch', to the Iraqi city of 'Falluja' -- Falluja in Memoriam on Thanksgiving. Now this haunting essay, "Fallujah: America's Guernica", suggests a historical twist in time and fate we all should be pondering.
