Dear Subscribers:

It has been almost 19 months since we launched our premiere issue on January 1, 2000. Earlier this month we reached 100,000 individual hits on our home page and the number of subscribers now number in the tens of thousands. We are very pleased at the success we have achieved so far and are now working on new innovative ideas that will make La Voz de Aztlan a more effective and powerful online publication. Shortly we will be implementing more advanced Internet technologies that will enable us to reach more people in a more efficient way. We also plan to add more sophisticated audio and video capabilities to the website.

Our target audience has been and will continue to be La Raza in the United States and in Mexico. We, however, now have subscribers from all over the world who are interested in our unique perspective of the issues affecting the Mexicano community of Aztlan. Through the large quantity of e-mail we receive, we have learned that many subscribers of varied ethnic, racial, and religious background also share many of the same concerns that we have. This is very encouraging for us.

Of course, we have also had a large number of criticisms, including a few death threats, and there has been many efforts, by very powerful forces, to shut us down. We have received numerous condemnations from a variety of national organizations who do not like what we publish. Some of these national organizations have been those who supposedly work on behalf of La Raza like the Mexican-American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF) and the National Council of La Raza (NCLR). But thanks to God and the almighty First Amendment of the United States Constitution, we have survived!

The major assault on our publication is coming primarily from two sectors of our society which we see as really being only one. A few weeks ago, the largest Jewish Journal outside New York City published, front page, a "propaganda piece" against La Voz de Aztlan. The Jewish Journal of Greater Los Angeles condemn our criticism concerning the public funding of school children indoctrination programs at the Zionist Wiesenthal Center which owns the "Holocaust Museum of Tolerance". The article written by a paid Chicano lackey, labeled our publication, with the much parroted word, "antisemitic". The article quoted the Wiesenthal Center's anti-Internet lobbyist, Rabbi Abraham Cooper, as saying "may they reap the backlash of the Jewish community". Now, this is tantamount to issuing a Jewish Fatwah against our staff. Soon after, we started receiving a large amount of hate e-mail including suspicious U.S. mail with "Jewish curses" and some of the mail came with small amounts of unknown substances. A staff member that opened one of the envelopes has been sick with a respitory illness ever since.

The other sector, which we see as being empowered by Jews, is the homosexual and lesbian community. This sector has accomplished major penetrations into many Chicano organizations including Chicano Studies programs at colleges and universities. The Jewish led American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has been the major front organization that is advancing the interests of this sector in present day U.S. society. It is a well known fact that over 80% of all the ACLU litigation cases in the courts are cases dealing with homosexual and lesbian rights. Powerful Jewish interests in Hollywood, television and other media promote the idea that it is "politically correct" to accept the gay lifestyle. This is one reason young children are now exposed to T.V. programs starring the lesbian Ellen Degenerate and other lesbians and homosexuals. Homosexual Jewish playwrights like Terrence McNally also write plays like "Corpus Christi" in which Jesus Christ is depicted as "King of the Queers" and having sex with the disciples. The play was defended by the ACLU as falling under the protection of First Amendment and yet they fight the idea of children reciting the Lord's Prayer in school.

We will continue writing articles and editorials against what we perceive as wrong regardless of who we make angry. Satan himself will not stop us.

As the publisher, I will take full responsibility of all that is published. I support fully the articles by our Editor-in-Chief Ernesto Cienfuegos and by our Staff Writer Miroslava Flores and our Political Cartoonist Sergio Hernandez.

I will like to end this message to you the subscribers with the following enumerated points:

1. From time to time we will publish articles in Spanish, however, there are free automatic translation resources on the web that can translate them instantly for you. For example at: www.freetranslation.com you are able to instantly translate text or entire web pages.

2. Due to the large number of e-mail we are receiving, we are having difficulty responding to it. We do read all our messages except those that are abusive or hateful in which case we just delete it after reading the first few words.

3. There have been a few Mexicanos that do not see any relevance in our coverage of the Middle East crisis. We request that you simply ignore those items that do not interest you instead of writing to complain.

4. We request that our readers respect our Christian views including the Mexikas on our subscriber's list.

5. Ms. Miroslava Flores has new information concerning the Chandra Levy/ Israeli Mossad/ Congressman Condit connection that she will publish shortly. As many of you already know, Congressman Condit was in possesion of highly secret U.S. military information as a member of the Select House Committee on Intelligence.

6. If there are any remaining homosexuals, lesbians or Jews on our list, you are welcome to stay, to receive our news bulletins, but we do not want to hear from you.

May God Bless All of You,

Hector Carreon
