Schwarzenigger to be declared "Persona Non Grata"
by the Baja California Legislature

La Paz, Baja California (ACN) - On Tuesday, November 11, 2003 the legislature of Baja California will vote to declare Arnold Schwarzenegger a "Persona Non Grata" because of his anti-Mexican positions and policies in Alta California.. Elsa de la Paz Esquivel, Chairwoman of the Partido de la Revolución Democrática (PRD) Caucus in the state legislature, said that Schwarzenegger will be only the second US official to be declared a "Persona Non Grata" in Baja California. The first was President George Bush II because of his brutal military attack on the people of Iraq.

The legislator said that the anti-immigrant immigrant from Austria has already undertaken racist campaigns against persons of Mexican descent in a state where approximately 35% of the residents are Latinos and over 75% of these are of Mexican descent.

The Schwarzenegger "non-grata" resolution has wide support among the legislators of the other parties and is expected to pass with a wide margin. Carlos Vidal, state legislator of the ruling Partido Acción Nacional (PAN), said "We must support our brothers and sisters up north, especially after witnessing how they are being treated." Schwarzenegger will be formally installed as governor November 17, but he has already begun implementing campaigns designed to "oppress" the Mexican population in Alta California.
